David Reed, President and CEO
David brings 27 years of executive experience in the Calgary patch. A variety of industry involvement has led to the current emergence of Sansum as an independent producer/explorer.
Brian Ness, P. Eng. VP Operations
Brian has over forty years of experience in all phases of oilfield operations including drilling; completion; workovers; regulatory compliance and production. Brian has worked throughout Western Canada in all reservoir types under primary, secondary and tertiary production schemes.
Darryl Mekechuk, Manager Exploitation
Darryl brings 30 years of international oil and gas expertise in facilities, production and reservoir engineering. Subsurface reservoir performance analysis and the optimization design of horizontal multi-stage frac wells have developed into particular specialties. He has worked as the lead exploitation engineer for Nexen in the Horn River basin along with international exploitation projects in: Peru, Colombia and Yemen.
Kim Sorensen, Chief Financial Officer
Kim is a multi-faceted entrepreneur with extensive business experience managing large retail sector companies for over 25 years. Over the past 20 years, his association with the DVDCase Group of companies has successfully governed numerous operations around the globe.
Kim’s cultivated interest in the Western Canada Sedimentary Basin has resulted from a strong ‘hands-on’ component reflecting a keen business eye. “I feel very proud to be part of a successful Alberta company associated with a founding industry of this province”.
